          Our tours/workshops are suitable for everyone – from beginners who haven't used a SLR camera before, to amateurs and advanced photographers, as well as teenagers with an active interest in photography.
           
          If you haven't photographed on film before, and interested to give it a go; if its been quite a few years since you last used a film camera; or you just would like to spend time with likeminded people, these tours are for you.
           
          All tours have a maximum of three participants.

          35mm film SLR photo tour

          Take home your own unique perspective on Melbourne

          This photo tour will show you some of the iconic and hidden locations in Melbourne, all while appreciating them from a photographic perspective. A basic understanding or interest in photography is required, as well as a willingness to learn something new while discovering and documenting what this amazing city has to offer.

           

          You'll learn about how to use a film SLR camera, how to use the Sunny16 rule to decide on your aperture and shutter speed, and how to think about your composition in black and white before pressing the shutter button.

           

          Location – Melbourne CBD

          Duration – 3.5 hours (appx)

          Equipment – Participants will be provided with the loan of a 35mm SLR for the duration of the tour, along with a roll of film which will be developed and scanned for you (see How it works).

          Cost – $180

          Night photography with a 35mm film SLR

          Tours run from May–September only

          On this photo tour we will explore the Melbourne CBD after dark. We will be using a 35mm SLR and very high ISO film and a tripod to get the best results. Or if you are after a more creative look, we might even push the film a stop or two allowing you to shoot hand-held.

           

          Location – Melbourne CBD

          Duration – 3 hours (appx)

          Equipment – Participants will be provided with the loan of a 35mm SLR for the duration of the tour, along with a roll of high ISO film.
